EPOS Launches New H3 Wired Gaming Headset

EPOS is launching the latest addition to its audio hardware line, the EPOS H3 wired gaming headset. The new wired headset aims to be the perfect plug-and-play option, suited for any game, for any gamer, and looks to continue the company's recent successes in the competitive gaming hardware space.

As with most things EPOS design and manufacturer, the new H3 wired gaming headset looks sublime. It doesn't go in for "gaming gimmicks" like flashy colors or RGB lighting, instead delivering a stylish gaming headset designed with premium audio in mind.

The H3 is a closed-back headset, which helps deliver better sound quality and stops sound from escaping into your local environment. The earpads themselves are plush and comfortable, while the headband is soft, adjustable, and fits nicely.

EPOS is positioning the H3 as an all-round quality gaming headset, available at a very competitive price point. As far as the gaming headset marketplace goes, they might well be onto something.

The H3 gaming headset is really quite good in terms of sound, delivering deep, powerful bass tones with enough subtlety to bring any game to life. The H3 has a 10-30,000Hz frequency response, covering a substantial audio range. Furthermore, the integrated microphone has a 10-18,000Hz frequency response, helping you sound crisp and clear while gaming with friends.

One really nice touch is the audio dial on the outside of the headset, making it simple to adjust your volume on the go but fitting in perfectly with the headset design.

In terms of compatibility, being a wired gaming headset, the H3 works with any platform out of the box. You'll find a 3.5mm jack plug in the box, meaning you can use the EPOS H3 with your PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and anything else in between.

In that, it is very much plug and play, with no messing around with Bluetooth connections or proprietary wireless connectivity. The 2m long cable is long enough for most gaming setups, too.

The EPOS H3 is available from 20 April 2021, with a launch price of $119/£109.

EPOS Continues Strong Gaming Hardware Performance

EPOS is well known for its exceptional gaming hardware, and the H3 wired gaming headset looks to have continued that trend.
