How to Send a Message to Someone on YouTube

Sending a message to a channel on YouTube only involves a few clicks. First, log in to your account on YouTube, and follow these steps to get started.

Use the search bar at the top of the web app to search for the channel or person you want to message.
Alternatively, click the username or banner directly under a video to go to the creator's channel.
Go to About, and click View Email Address. You'll only see this option if the creator has linked their email address with their channel.
If prompted, tick the I'm not a robot reCAPTCHA box and hit Submit.
Click the listed email address, or copy and paste it into an email client to send an email directly to the owner of the channel.
To send a public chat instead, go to the Community tab on their YouTube channel, and leave a comment on any of the posts (if they have any). However, the messages you send here aren't private, and everyone can see them.

What If a Channel Doesn't Have an Email Address Listed?

If a creator doesn't have an email address linked to their channel, there are other options you can try out. Most creators have their social media accounts linked to their YouTube channel.

You can access these social media options by visiting the About page on a YouTube channel. Clicking on their social accounts under the "Links" sections will bring you to their social media pages. You can also try to send them a direct message from there.
