Native Instruments' Latest Keyboard Is So Exclusive You Can't Buy It
Looking to get your hands on the latest keyboard from Native Instruments? Well, don't hold your breath because you can't really even buy one. But if you've got a bit of studio nous, then you might just be in with a chance of getting your fingers on those keys.
Native Instruments and Timbaland Komplete Kontrol M32
The latest iteration of Native Instruments' Komplete Kontrol M32 keyboard is now available. It is a joint venture which sees long-time M32-user Timbaland (and his Beatclub brand) teaming up with NI for a limited run of keyboards.
The difference between the standard M32 and the Beatclub M32 is cosmetic. The limited edition comes in an eye-catching molten blue colorway, which is sure to catch the eye when it takes center stage in your studio setup.
There are no price details available for this keyboard as it isn't for sale. At least not in the "just head to Amazon" sense, anyway. You'll have to rely on other methods, including your own talents, if you want to bag one of these babies.
How Do You Get a Timbaland M32 Keyboard?
Basically, you have two chances to get hold of one.
With the first option, in order to get your hands on one, you'll need to work hard. So hard, in fact, that you impress Timbaland himself with some music of your own.
This is because the new keyboard isn't actually for sale via regular channels. You won't be able to buy one in any store. They're extremely limited edition, and the only way to get your ivory ticklers on one is by entering a competition. You can find details on the Native Instruments competition page.
If you don't have any production chops to speak of (in which case, why are you looking for a Komplete Kontrol M32 keyboard) then you can potentially get your hands on one by entering a StockX auction and successfully placing the highest bid. It would probably cost you significantly more than a regular M32, though.
And that is it; those are the only two methods of getting a Timbaland M32 keyboard aside from actually being Timbaland. You have to agree, though; it does look pretty awesome.
Are You a Music Producer?
If so, I'm sure you'll be firing up Ableton right this second to give Timbaland's perfectly crafted samples and loops a bit of the bedroom producer treatment. Good luck if you enter the competition!
Don't forget, though, that you'll need some real production chops if you're going to impress Timbaland.
